Experience

Dr. Jorge Sanz is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in AI and process innovation, digital business models, and regulatory compliance. He has spent over two decades working in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, combining operations and strategy to deliver scalable, impactful solutions in various sectors including banking, funds, manufacturing, telecom, government, and higher education.

At IBM Research, Jorge focuses on using innovative and practical ideas, data, and process-related technology to solve problems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. His work addresses significant challenges such as robustness, explainability, and trust in AI, aiming to create scalable delivery practices for medium and large organizations.

He previously held the position of Full Professor of Practice and Director of the Business Analytics Center (BAC) at the National University of Singapore, where he worked on the convergence of digital, business, law, and policy-making. He also served as R&D Director in Business Analytics and Financial Technologies at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, and Manager in Services Innovation at IBM Research
