Experience
Leslie Oster is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Before joining Northwestern in 2012, she worked in various administrative and academic positions in legal education. She served as the Dean of Students at Berkeley Law for eleven years and held roles such as Special Assistant to the Dean at the University of San Diego School of Law and Assistant Dean for Strategic Planning at the University of Texas at Austin.
Leslie has taught a variety of skills classes and courses on the courts, including positions as an instructor at UC Hastings, Director of Legal Writing at UC Berkeley, Director of Lawyering Skills at the University of San Diego, and Senior Lecturer at UT-Austin. Prior to her career in legal education, she worked as a city attorney and clerked in the California Court of Appeal. She holds both her law and undergraduate degrees from UC Berkeley.
At Northwestern, Leslie teaches Medical Innovation and works on new academic initiatives, including the Master of Science in Law (MSL) degree, a one-year master’s program for STEM-trained students.
